Grandparents come for a Christmas visit

Nathan's parents, Dick and Beth, have been in Cambodia for nearly a week. We had a few days together, then they went up to Angkor Wat, and returned yesterday. They'll stay until Jan. 4.
Apparently Ben decided he wanted to impress them. He took his first steps (not on his own yet, but holding on to Grandpa's fingers) yesterday and Daddy discovered his first tooth barely poking through the gums today!

Here are some photos of the fun we've been having together:

Ellie has Christmas cookies and carrots all ready for Santa and his reindeer. There's no chimney in our tropical house, so we just left the plate under the tree. Word on the street is that Santa liked the cookies, and left some nice presents in exchange.

Merry Christmas! Good work with the cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer, Ellie...I think sometimes when we were little we may have forgotten the carrots, and the reindeer just went hungry! (But they probably got some at the next house ;-), so I don't feel too guilty).

It's so neat to see history repeating itself - what memories it all brings back of Christmas long ago when you were little - and longer ago of Christmases when I was little. The cookies and carrots for Santa have endured for at least three generations now - hope they endure for many more!
