Nathan and I just got back from a fabulous five day visit to Peru, made spectacular by friendly Peruvians; ingenious Incans who constructed Machu Picchu; and Liz, who watched the kids for us while we were away.
Liz has been a huge hit with the kids. In fact, just this morning as we were eating breakfast and talking about how Liz would be leaving soon, Ben said: "Next time let's invite her for an even bigger playdate so she can stay much more longer!"
Photos of our trip and travel tips to Machu Picchu to come in the next few days (we hope).

Well! I guess Liz won that one! And parents were worried that Ben would be sad to have them gone. Just goes to show you that kids are adaptable. Don't take it personally.

We're excited to hear your reports about Machu Pichu and see the photos. How terrific that you could go! Yeah Liz indeed! Pretty neat way to celebrate your 10th anniversary.
Love,

I think what Ben actually wants is to have Mom, Dad, and Aunt Liz all here together for a long time.
When we called home from Peru, Ben told us that the next time Nathan and I wanted to take a vacation together, one or both of us needed to stay home! Some togetherness! And Ellie started to cry and said that she missed us. Liz tells us that they were happy most of the time and basically did fine, but they definitely missed us when they focused on us being away!

How wonderful for us to visit your site after a few months absence and to get caught up on the move, to see the growing children doing wonderful children things and to hear a bit about Chile. Jen, the pic with the Senate President would make a good one for the Quarterly along with an update about you and Nathan. Our love to you. WE will keep closer tabs. Don't want to miss a thing!
